How much does the bid writing service cost?


The needs of our clients vary considerably including:

As we tailor our support to meet your requirements, we will provide full transparency of costs, reflecting our level of involvement, the personnel required, and the deadlines we must meet. We are always happy to quote for your specific bid, so please do give us a call. Indicative costs are based upon a competitive day rate, plus expenses at cost.

A small premium will apply where tight timescales demand additional evening / weekend work.

How quickly can you turn around my proposal?
Our aim is to respond to your needs, and flexibility is, for us, a core strength. Having said that, the longer you can give us, the more options we can offer to ensure your bid is a winner that truly reflects your organisation’s strengths and character.
In reality, proposal documents are likely to require a measure of different editing styles: writing material from scratch, rewriting, editing and proofreading your bid document, depending on quality of content and time constraints.
Does the bid consultant need to be onsite?
Although even the best technology will struggle to beat a face-to-face discussion, we are equipped to fully support you via excellent internet links, using cloud storage where appropriate and acceptable. Working remotely does help minimise costs, ensuring maximum consultant time focused on the bid and a discounted day rate.
We do work on site where required, having occasionally even worked in far-flung locations when urgent client needs dictate.
How many delegates can attend the training courses?
We believe best results are achieved when teams collaborate together in training courses. By considering past bid submissions and challenges encountered, we can share best principles and practice, and discuss the unique demands affecting your people.
However, too big a group will lessen our ability to respond to specific questions or provide individual coaching. We recommend a group of up to 12 delegates, although tailored solutions are available for bigger groups, with interlinked training courses to ensure continuity.
Do you hold public training courses?
No. While the general principles of good communication are, of course, applicable to all areas of life, the specifics of Bid Writing are, we believe, best suited to precisely focused sessions, enabling free communication.
We have not taken this decision lightly, our experience of public training have highlighted vast differences in ability, requirements and even confidential conflicts. We therefore, even if only 1-to-1 training is required, will travel to your premises to provide focused training.
The disciplines of each client’s area of expertise drive the aims and content of each training session, yielding targeted improvements and support.
What post training support will Writing Bids provide?
Developing mutual trust and respect at each training session, we are ideally placed to provide ongoing support through the crucial post training period.
Normally we will provide contact details for all delegates to seek reassurance and refreshers for 90 days or so after each training course. Extended support can be agreed by discussion.
